Announcing the #SeineRiverRun!
On June 5, globally renowned water advocate, Mina Guli, is embarking on an extraordinary mission: to run the entire 848km length of the Seine River, from its pristine source to where it meets the sea at Le Havre.
The #SeineRiverRun is all about showcasing the remarkable transformation of France’s most iconic river. Once declared functionally ‘dead', the Seine is now thriving thanks to dedicated clean-up and restoration efforts.
Restoring healthy rivers is key to fostering resilient societies, economies and ecosystems.
With the world's eyes on Paris for the 2024 Olympics, the Seine River is a beacon of hope for degraded rivers worldwide, and a striking testament to the power of perseverance and care.
Join Mina as she spotlights the immense clean up and restoration efforts that have brought the Seine back to life - and calls on other cities and countries to follow suit!
