Mina Guli's Global Marathon Challenge

As featured in The Guardian, Mina Guli embarked on a remarkable mission on World Water Day, March 22, aiming to run 200 marathons across 200 countries within a year to spotlight the global water crisis. In the initial seven weeks, she conquered 27 marathons in her native Australia, with plans to tackle the remaining ones across Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, India, Latin America, Southeast Asia, Mexico, and the US by March 2023, coinciding with the UN Water Conference in New York. Guli's endeavor takes on added significance as Australia grapples with the dual challenges of extreme drought and heavy rainfall, emphasizing the critical need for water awareness and action.
